KSH 240M NKUBU ROADS PROJECT KICKS OFF

MERU COUNTY

Construction of roads in the new Nkubu Town Municipality has officially begun following the lobbying of Sh240 million by Imenti South MP Dr. Shadrach Mwiti to upgrade the municipality’s road network.

The road works mark the implementation of a major infrastructure investment aimed at improving transport within Nkubu and enhancing access to businesses, residential areas and other essential services in the growing town.

The Sh240 million funding, lobbied for by Dr. Mwiti, is expected to facilitate the upgrading and improvement of roads within the newly established Nkubu Town Municipality. The commencement of construction comes as a fulfillment of the MP’s commitment to improving infrastructure in the area.

Residents and traders are expected to benefit from improved roads, which will ease movement, enhance connectivity and support economic activities in Nkubu and its surrounding areas.

The project comes at a time when Nkubu is experiencing continued growth, increasing the need for better road infrastructure to support the town’s expanding population and commercial activities.

The commencement of the works is therefore being viewed as a significant milestone in the development of Nkubu Town Municipality, with residents now looking forward to the completion of the planned road upgrades.
