ABOGETA SUBCOUNTY, IMENTI SOUTH- MERU COUNTY
Despite heavy overnight rainfall, the 2026 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations kicked off smoothly this morning in Abogeta Sub-County, Meru County.
Deputy County Commissioner (DCC) Richard Tuwei said a total of 26 examination centres are administering the national examinations, adding that adequate logistical measures had been put in place to ensure examination papers were delivered on time despite challenging road conditions caused by the ongoing rainy season.

Tuwei noted that the administration had prepared heavy-duty vehicles to facilitate the transportation of examination materials to centres experiencing difficult road access.

He also confirmed that the Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA) and Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) examinations concluded successfully last week.
The administrator urged parents and guardians to take responsibility for their children’s education and welfare, calling on them to ensure all learners transition to the next level of education in January 2027.

He emphasized the importance of parental support in ensuring that no learner is left behind as the country prepares for the next academic year.
