MERU COUNTY Abothuguci Central MCA aspirant Kendi Muthuri, popularly known as Kaaba Kendi, has called for a change in leadership, accusing the ward of falling behind in development and urging residents to demand greater accountability from their elected leaders.
Muthuri said she is seeking the MCA seat because she believes she has the commitment, capacity and vision to address the challenges facing residents and accelerate development across the ward.
Speaking during her political engagements in Abothuguci Central, Muthuri dismissed claims that her activities are aimed at winning sympathy from voters, saying her decision to contest is driven by her desire to serve the people and provide effective leadership.
She challenged residents to unite and take a more active role in demanding development, transparency and accountability from their leaders.
Muthuri said residents must work together to push for projects and essential services that can improve livelihoods and unlock the ward’s development potential.
Her campaign comes as political activity begins to intensify in Abothuguci Central, with aspirants positioning themselves ahead of the upcoming MCA contest.
